The Last Rocket is Takeoff’s first solo studio album. Dayytona Fox and Quavo both contributed to the album’s twelve tracks. DJ Durel, Cassius Jay, Murda Beatz, Buddah Bless, TM88, and others contributed to the album’s production.
The album’s name and release date were revealed at a secret listening event on October 23, 2018. Billboard published an article about their journey.
The album’s lead single, “Last Memory,” was released on October 26, 2018. Takeoff posted an album trailer to Instagram on October 30, 2018.
